As an RF, microwave, wireless, and antenna design, development, and simulation consultant, one of the things that I do the most is to prototype new products for clients. I have a full suite of software tools for RF, microwave, wireless, and antenna simulation, from circuit and system simulation to circuit board layout and FPGA development. I also have a fully equipped laboratory that allows me to perform test and measurement on circuits and systems ranging in frequency from DC to 26.5 GHz. I also have a small antenna range where I can evaluate antennas and embedded system antennas. I also have software tools for mechanical and packaging design, as well as a small machine shop for metal working.

While I certainly do a lot of prototyping for clients, I also help them with their prototyping activities. Sometimes I stick to the RF, microwave, and antenna design aspects while the client handles the embedded software and packaging. Other times, I help the client in all areas. I am very flexible and have worked with clients of all sizes, ranging from individual inventors that need a new product design to huge multi-national corporations that could design the product on their own, but they are too busy with other projects and need some outside assistance. Or, sometimes I work with large corporations that simply have little or no experience and software and test facilities for RF, microwave, wireless, and antenna prototype design and development. In fact, this trend is becoming more common now that the Internet of Things is taking off and companies need to add wireless connectivity to their products. That connectivity can range from low power, unlicensed circuits and systems that only have a range of a few meters to hundreds of meters to systems that need to be tied into the cellular network so as to offer almost unlimited connectivity. In some cases, it is even necessary to provide for satellite connectivity for truly worldwide accessibility.

Whatever your new product prototyping needs, call Aerospace Consulting for a rapid, cost effective solution. And, if you are already in the middle of your new product prototyping and find that things are not working out as you had hoped, give me a call. Over the decades I have worked on just about every imaginable kind of system and seen, and solved, just about every problem that can come up in RF, microwave, wireless, and antenna design and development. Sometimes a day or two of my time can save you weeks of time to market. Sometimes something as simple as a simulation can identify the problem. You won't know unless you call Aerospace Consulting.
